Three times Grand Slam champion, Russia's Maria Sharapova has stormed into the second round of the LA Women's Tennis Championships in Los Angeles. Sharapova ousted Jarmila Groth 6-0 6-4 in first round match on Tuesday.Maria Sharapova has written off her hopes of recapturing her Wimbledon Ladies' title.

Back in 2004 she crushed Serena Williams in straight sets to become champion, but the Russian beauty is just back from 10 months out with a shoulder injury.Maria Sharapova beat "Shuai Peng" and proceeded to the next round of Wimbledon 2011. She's gorgeous and she's playing it hot as always:

Sharapova's 2007 season was plagued with a chronic shoulder injury, and saw her ranking fall out of the top 5 for the first time in two years. She ultimately won her third Grand Slam at the 2008 Australian Open, defeating Henin in the quarterfinals.
